Reds Meadow Shuttle

Service is ending August 31, 2021 due to the closure of Inyo National Forest.

Although there will be no entrance to the valley, twice a day a shuttle will sweep the valley for hikers exiting the trail-head and will be at The Reds Meadow Resort, 12pm and 5pm. Unless directed otherwise by the Forest Service, this modified service will run through Labor Day.

Refunds will be processed by Mammoth Mountain for pre-purchased tickets with reservations after 8/31/2021.

**NOTE: Masks are required on public transportation. Please bring your mask. Bus loading restrictions have been lifted by the CDC and FTA, therefore, you may experience crowded conditions on the shuttle.

Ticket prices are as follows:

5-Hour Pass*:  Adult $15.00
5-Hour Pass:  Child $7.00 (aged 3-15)

3 Days out of 5 Pass: Adult $30.00
3 Days out of 5 Pass: Child $14.00 (aged 3-15)

Season Pass: Adult $75.00
Season Pass: Child $35.00 (aged 3-15)

Children under 2 are free.

A portion of peak hour tickets (8 am -3 pm) can be purchased by reservation, in advance.

The first shuttle departs The Village (Canyon Blvd. side, under the gondola) at 7:15 am and from the adventure Center at Mammoth Mountain at 7:30 am.

Tickets for the 7:30 am bus and tickets originating in the valley, are only available from the driver on a first-come-first-served basis and must be purchased with cash, exact change only.

Otherwise, tickets are sold prior to boarding at the Mammoth Mountain Adventure Center from 8 am -5 pm. All tickets sales are non-refundable.

*Visitors should exit the valley 5 hours after boarding the bus to avoid long wait times at the end of the day. Backpackers may exit the park on a different day with the same ticket. Please note, exiting the valley after 4:00 pm will result in longer wait times. Stop #9 at Rainbow Falls is drop off only after 3:00 pm.

The shuttle runs daily, on the following frequencies:

7:30 am – 9:00 am – every 45 minutes
9:00 am – 10:00 am – every 30 minutes
10:00 am – 4:00 pm – every 20 minutes
4:45 pm – 6:15 pm – every 45 minutes

The last bus into the Valley departs Mammoth Adventure Center at 6:15 pm.

The last bus out of the Valley departs Reds Meadow Resort at 7:00 pm.

The last day for the 2021 Shuttle Season is expected to be Sunday, September 12th.
