Administrative Analyst

 OVERVIEW

Live and work in the beautiful Eastern Sierra!  The Eastern Sierra Transit Authority (ESTA) is recruiting an Administrative Analyst to oversee administrative, board-clerk, and accounting services and support for all of ESTA’s operations.

The Administrative Analyst performs a wide variety of accounting, statistical, and clerical support activities of a highly responsible nature; performs the duties and responsibilities of the Clerk of the Board of Directors of the Eastern Sierra Transit Authority, and serves as the direct contact for financial and accounting matters for the Authority to the Auditor-Controller’s office. The position reports directly to the Executive Director and is based at ESTA’s administrative and operations offices in Bishop, California.

SALARY & BENEFITS

$19.55 – $23.77 per hour

$3,389 – $4,120 per month

$40,664 – $49,442 per year

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

The ideal candidate will possess the following licenses, certifications, and qualifications

  • Possess a valid State of California Commercial Driver’s License (A, B, or C) in order to drive company staff vehicles
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office products including Excel and Word
  • Bachelor’s Degree in public or business administration, or directly related field;
  • Two years of progressively responsible local government administrative experience, preferably in transit administration, or a related fields
  • Any equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the position.

Additional Desirable Qualifications include:

  • Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills as applied to interactions with coworkers, supervisors, and the general public sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction
  • Knowledge of drug & alcohol testing administrative procedures and regulations
  • Managerial principles
  • Budgetary principles
  • Accounting principles
  • Payroll processing principles
  • Local, State, and Federal regulations applicable to transit and personnel management
  • Safety rules, regulations, and procedures
